What a fun and helpful blog! I have a kid’s party business in Connecticut, and agree wholeheartedly that it is a good idea to have back-up games planned, just in case!

I do want to mention however (with the kindest intentions) that people often use food for fun kids games (egg on spoon, etc.) but it may not be sending the right message to children. In a world, and a country, where so many children are hungry every day, the importance of food as sustenance can become trivialized by using it for games and craft projects. There are always great alternatives (ping pong ball instead of egg, etc.). Here is a link to an article that I’ve written on the subject:
