Apparently we love chocolate so much here in the US, we’ve declared three days National Chocolate Day. According to the National Confectioners Association, October 28th, December 28th and 29th are all National Chocolate Days and according to their blog (Candy Dish), September 13th is International Chocolate Day.

In any event, it’s a day to enjoy our chocolate with out the guilt! What’s your favorite? I happen to love M&M’s, Reese’s and my good friend Annika’s delectable creations over at Red Thread Confections! And remember for you guys out there, chocolates are prefect gifts for so many occasions like Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, Christmas and …just because! Women love chocolate!

Wow! I completely overlooked my 100th post which was Beau-coup’s 4 day sale so I’ll celebrate on my 101st post!

Ok, done laughing now? I have to admit, riding around on a cooler scooter looks like fun, but then being an inventor myself, I like off the wall inventions like this. I also see a practical side to it as well. Our family loves to go to the zoo, watch air shows and on occasion visit theme parks, but about 5 years ago our son was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Walking long distances is tough, wears him out and just isn’t enjoyable to him. The older he gets the less inclined he is to be pushed around in a wheel chair. However, ask him to ride around on one of these and I bet we couldn’t get him off. Plus we’d have cold drinks and snacks to enjoy throughout the day. Unfortunately, he’ll have to wait a few years…it’s recommended for 18 years and older. Bummer!

Being that today is my birthday, I’m doing some self reflection and focusing on all I’m grateful for in my life, but nothing brings this home more than a recent comment on an international blog about my website, which is a nationwide directory of businesses offering birthday freebies and discounts. There are over 2,000 listings and it continues to grow for which I’m grateful because in these difficult economic times, I’d like to think I’m helping millions save money while celebrating their birthdays.

A Russia blog sharing business ideas, recently added a post about Free Birthday Treats and the single comment left stated, according to my pal Google Translation:

This is simply tremendous! How cool that people aspire, dream, invent the benefit! We have such little in Siberia, BUT THEY HAVE!

Wow! We do live in a land of abundance and I frequently overlook my many blessings. After reading a recent guest post on Zen Habits “Three Truths to Help You Create a Life of Gratitude”, it made me realize I wasn’t expressing my gratitude for all the wonderful blessings in my life.

With that being said, thank you to all my subscribers and supporters of my website, blog and me. To my family and friends thank you for loving me for who I am, but most importantly, thank you Lord for my blessings.
