Daylight Savings 2009 Time to Fall Back!

Don’t forget about adjusting those clocks for daylight savings! Of course, this is with the exception of Arizona and Hawaii who do not participate.

Now before you adjust your clocks perhaps a visit to The Official US Time website might be of use. It’s a handy resource that provides an interactive map of all the time zones and which states don’t participate.

In the United States, daylight savings begins at 2 a.m. on November 1, 2009, the first Sunday of November. When I lived in Alaska, we always rolled back the clocks one hour the night before so we didn’t forget.

To learn more about the history of Daylight Savings, the National Geographic has put together a nice article for the curious: Daylight Savings Time 2009: When and Why We Fall Back.
