The Oregon Historical Society is celebrating Oregon’s Statehood Day by throwing a birthday bash and offering free admission on February 14, 2010 from noon to 4p.m.

Activities include:

Docent tours through our award winning exhibit, Oregon My Oregon at 1 and 3 p.m.

Rick Meyer will be performing his Old Time Music Show, filled with pioneer instruments from a banjo to a noseflute at 1:45 p.m.

Bob Hart will be giving a lively tale of famous Oregon adventurer Joe Meek in his performance of “From the Wigwam to the Whitehouse” at 3:30 p.m.

What could be a birthday without cake? Stick around, because we will be cutting Oregon’s birthday cake at 2:45 p.m.
