Soy Candles Review and Giveaway

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Aren’t candles great? They provide light in the dark, set a romantic mood, help us celebrate our birthday and release scents enticing you to relax. They are quite the multi-functioning home accessory and I love them! I also feel fortunate that my sister-in-law and her husband own a soy candle business.

Soy Candles

I still remember the first candle introduced to me when they started…it was a light yellow, tear drop container candle made with the scent of pound cake. YUM!! I was hooked! Not only could I enjoy my candles without the ugly soot stains on my ceilings, but they last longer, don’t burn as hot or release nasty chemicals in the air and I could choose colors and scents since they are made to order! Yep, I’m hooked! I now give them for teacher gifts, birthday gifts, shower gifts or haul them off for myself!

Some great info about soy candles from their site:

Have you ever burned a SOY candle?

SOY wax burns cooler, safer and longer than paraffin wax.  SOY wax releases no toxins into the air when burned, making it healthier than paraffin wax. SOY wax eliminates the ‘ugly black soot’ when burned properly .  Each candle is handmade and hand poured.  We use only all natural ingredients which makes our candles earth friendly and supports the American farmer not the big oil companies.  Give SOY a try.  Once you do you will never want to burn a paraffin candle again.

Who can resist the sweet smell of Cinnamon Buns! So, that’s my choice… I’m always looking for great gift ideas…thanks for this one!

2 Kendra Field { 07.06.08 at 6:43 pm }

All the scents look very tempting, but I would have to pick the pina colada for that “take me away” scent.

3 michelle rosborough { 07.06.08 at 8:43 pm }

Sugar Cookie

4 katrina { 07.06.08 at 8:43 pm }

I tried to find the scents and colors on the site but I just couldn’t. So….If there is a nice not over powerful vanillia or cinnamon one I would pick that one!

What a great site!

14 CRISTI WELCH { 07.07.08 at 4:31 pm }

I just redecorated my bathroom and the candle I am currently using is suppose to be a good woodwick but the “soot” you were speaking of is gathering at the top of the candle. I have never tried soy and would love to win a tan sandlewood scented one. Thanks and congratulations to the last winner. :)

15 TheSnackHound { 07.07.08 at 8:09 pm }

I am pretty simple….I love tealights, even if they aren’t scented. I noticed that they have a few sets. I have soooo many different decorative tealight holders that I stock up when I can. The soy are so much better because if you get a regular unscented tea light it smells so smokey. yuck
